Mission Statement
The Laryngology Education Foundation (LEF) recognizes that open communication is essential to progress in laryngology. Accordingly, the LEF is committed to supporting the free exchange of ideas and knowledge among professionals caring for patients with disorders of voice, swallowing and the airway.The LEF recognizes that progress is a product of commitment, communication and shared purpose. The LEF exists to provide venues and media for the exchange of ideas and knowledge in laryngology, thereby fostering community and collective effort among professionals caring for patients with disorders of voice, swallowing and the airway.
The LEF exists to promote the dissemination of knowledge and progress in laryngology to all professionals caring for patients with disorders of voice, swallowing and the airway, and across institutional, geographic and disciplinary boundaries.
The LEF will provide, enhance and promote medical education related to the fields of laryngology and bronchoesophagology for the benefit of the medical community. Primary activities will relate to the production of medical education courses and conferences. The corporation will also provide and/or facilitate charitable funding to trainees for the purpose of enhancing academic scholarship, such as research, publication, and teaching.
